The series "Fav(orite)-spot" was created after our customers often sent feedback and travel reports to us. So everyone can read where its most beautiful and maybe visit one or the other place.

What a great week lies behind us! We have gotten an apartment at the Tegernsee, respectively in Bad Wiessee through ShareMyProp and our extended circle of friends. So we could spend a week at this beautiful lake and enjoy our vacation. Especially the weather was the absolute dream, we had sunshine every day, so we could do a lot around the lake.

Of course we have circled the lake, but since with the fuel prices are so high, we used rental bikes, which was no problem at all. So we were flexible, where we wanted to stop on our tour and where we wanted to stay a little longer. And the approx. 25km were also really doable in this beautiful spring weather.

Actually, we also wanted to hike a bit in the snow on the Wallberg, but since the weather was so great and there was very little snow, we saved this trip until the last day and did other things until then.

For example, we took a walk from our apartment in Bad Wiessee directly along the promenade to Rottach-Egern. Wonderful views were there, also the yacht club was a real eye-catcher, even if most of the boats were still in their winter sleep.

It was still about a week too early in the season for a boat ride, but that didn't matter, so the adventure around the lake continued. Thanks to a tip from our ShareMyProp host that both the church and the restaurant were worth visiting, we took an afternoon and marveled at the Tegernsee Monastery Church. The baroque art was truly impressive! Of course, we then immediately combined dinner with a visit to the “Bräustüberl”, a nice Bavarian restaurant with fair prices and good food.

On the last day we took the gondola up to the Wallberg (1722m) and enjoyed the panorama of the Tegernsee from above. What a wide view we had, we saw all the mountains of Bavaria, but also the Tegernsee valley was just magnificent. The lake with its colors was simply unique.

Tegernsee we will come again - maybe already in autumn!
