This winter season is much more fun than last year's. The borders are open, as a boosted person you can move relatively freely and also the snow queen means well.

As a tip for getting into the cross-country season, the start of the trail in Erpfendorf is recommended. You can always improve your skills.

Another highlight are the various toboggan runs that are available at the Wilder Kaiser. As a favorite is clearly the Astbergbahn in Going! You go up the mountain in a 4-seater chair to the middle station, the toboggan hangs on the left side of the chair and then you can start on the approx. 4.5km long toboggan run into the valley. A great fun for everyone. Also nice is the toboggan run in Söll, where night tobogganing is also offered like on the Astbergbahn.

For the free days between the active hours there is also enough program. Even if you want to take it a bit easier, a nice walk around the lake “Schwarzsee” (between Reith/Kitzbühel and Kitzbühel) is suitable. The route around the lake is not too long, but you can extend the walk as you wish with further loops and routes and also catch breathtaking views of the Wilde Kaiser massif.

Also here at the far end of the lake a cross-country ski trail passes just above the lake, so that you could combine a walk with sports. The Alpenhotel Kitzbühel is very new there, and the "Steghaus" snack & food restaurant directly at the lake is recommended, where you can enjoy excellent Kaiserschmarrn and apple strudel. A good stop at the end of the walk.

Also the friends of snowshoeing get their money's worth at the Wilder Kaiser. There is enough space and routes, just take your snowshoes and start walking where it is safe and beautiful. For example in Söll, there are 30km of winter hiking trails available if there is enough snow. Routes such as the Sunnseitrunde or the path to Wochenbrunner Alm in Ellmau are recommended.

The possibilities are truly endless and those who unwind at the Wilder Kaiser will definitely get their money's worth.
