Traveling privately with friends - blessing or curse?

Surely everyone has taken a vacation with friends, and there are the most interesting constellations. Singles form a group, young people get together, groups of men or women travel, couples or even friendly families spend their vacation together.
There is a lot of sun, vacation and relaxation, but it can also be complicated. Especially when you decide to spend your vacation together for the first time. Different expectations, disappointments of the vacation domicile or also simply quarrel during the allegedly restful days can spoil the vacation time.
There are constellations that love to spend their vacation together and could never imagine doing anything else, but what is their recipe?
With them…simply much fits together. Expectations are clarified in advance, so that no one is surprised when the vacation starts. There are clear agreements about what each traveler wants or doesn't want. It is agreed beforehand who brings what and also plans enough free space for everyone. Thus completely following the slogan, "everything is possible...", but "nobody must...". Also the destination should give this free space with physical retreat possibilities, so that one can also close a door, or life can take place in another room without everyone having to go to bed at the same time.
Private accommodations in any format are suitable for this, because you don't have to sit in a noisy hotel room with a view of the street, or fight for free loungers by the pool, so that everyone can really be together.
There is no preferred group size, everyone must and can decide for themselves what suits him/her. What really helps is a joint meeting in advance, preferably in a relaxed setting, to discuss exactly the details, what the expectations are, what you do not want and you can also agree on the rules that, for example, not all have to sit at 8 o'clock at the breakfast table, but everyone decides for themselves when they get up. One could fix for example a common dinner, so that all come together, perhaps also with daily changing cooking groups.
That's why private accommodation is recommended, because here the travel group can decide individually how the daily routine takes place. Perhaps also in an accommodation of friends, then it is rather simple, because much is already known, no matter whether the host is present, or not. A provider of accommodation among friends is the company ShareMyProp, maybe you are reading this article on this blog portal.
Here friends give their accommodations to friends and their friends, but not andy further. A big difference to other portals such as booking.com or airbnb.de, which are a great platform for accommodations, but have no intention to rent only to friends of friends. The great advantage of ShareMyProp is that you can rent out your property, which you would not rent to a complete stranger.
But now back to traveling with friends. What type are you? Do you leave the planning to others and let yourself drift, or do you prefer to be the orga type yourself and have everything planned out so that you get the most out of your vacation, no matter how short it is?
That's another tip by the way, look at the dynamics in the group, it might be nice to hand over the organization to others and just be a follower. Or just the other way around, planning is your DNA - then get to planning and please say in the preliminary meeting that you like to organize. This creates transparency in advance and avoids surprises. But don't be offended if someone else wants to plan too, or if the excursions don't meet with the approval you're hoping for. Just stay flexible according to the motto "Everything can - nothing must".
Who needs inspirations, where to go with the friends? Here would be a suggestion for possible trips, check out this web page Travel on Toast (Geheimtipps Urlaub Archives - Reiseblog Travel on Toast) and on ShareMyProp.com you will find suitable domiciles for the next vacation with and among friends.
Happy relaxing and here's to a great vacation - with your own friends.
